Anna Picard, the music critic for the Independent On Sunday, has lost her job, as have all her colleagues at the paper. I’ve never met Anna but I’ve enjoyed exchanging some particularly dotty banter with her on Twitter. She’s one of the good ones; I’ve always enjoyed her writing and have found her criticism to be fair and insightful. Her sacking set me thinking and I did a little rant.
